Easy Slow Cooked Beef Casserole

Slow cookers are a Winter essential for every household.
Just chop up your ingredients, put them in the slow cooker and the machine will do the rest.
No mess and minimal effort. What's not to love?
To make life even easier, here's a yummy and easy Winter recipe. Beef Casserole.

Ingredients
(makes 4)
1kg gravy beef steak, diced
2 sliced onions
2 chopped carrots
2 chopped garlic cloves
2 tbs oil
2 sliced celery sticks
2 cans of 425g crushed tomatoes
1 pinch salt
1 tsp tomato paste
2 cups beef stock
mashed potato (to serve: optional)

Method
Step 1: Heat two tablespoons of oil on a high heat.
Step 2: Reduce to a medium heat and add beef, onion, garlic, salt, carrots and celery. Stir for 5 minutes
Step 3: Add tomato paste, beef stock and stir all ingredients.
Step 4: Reduce to a low heat and put the lid on the slow-cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Step 5 (optional): Serve with mash potato.
